If you encounter a problem with the program that may be a result of a programming error, you can report it to the bug tracker system.

While all bug reports are welcome, they need to contain relevant information if they are to be of any use, especially all necessary details on how to repeat the problem.

Note: Before sending a bug report, always make sure that you are using the latest release, or at least check the development history or search with the bug tracker system if the issue was already addressed in one of the subsequent releases.

Guidelines to follow when submitting a bug report

  • Please, indicate the version of JMicroVision used. If you have downloaded a version without JRE and JAI, indicate the version of JRE and JAI (find JRE version in the menu Help - About JMicroVision... - System Information - java.vm.version).
  • Your operating system type and version.
  • Quick summary of your hardware (CPU type, speed, memory installed, video device type, other details that may be relevant to the problem).
  • How does the problem exhibit: send the error messages of the errorLog.txt file located in the installed directory of JMicroVision (find it in the menu Help - About JMicroVision... - System Information - user.dir) or, if the file does not contain error messages, make a short description of what has happened.
  • What were the actions preceding the problem, when did the problem occur.
  • Any of your own observations related to the problem (anything else you may have noticed).
